Steve Carter

President

Steve Carter founded AHM in 2002. This new company quickly gained a reputation for consistently producing operational and marketing turnarounds.

Steve's formula of comprehensive reviews, attention to basics, innovative marketing and insistence on quality has produced superior returns for AHM clients, as well as recognition and awards from guests.

AltaMont Hotel Management, Inc. is the culmination of Steve's 28 years of success in all phases of hotel management. His experience is reflected in the breadth and comprehensiveness of AHM's management package.

Steve's background includes six years as Director of Operations for BON Management Group, Inc., in Thousand Oaks, CA. He directed operations of hotels in a portfolio of both limited and full service properties located throughout the West and Midwest. Contracts included up to 12 hotels generating over $20.5 million in annual revenue.

Steve earned his stripes as a General Manager for Holiday Inn properties in California over six years. Other experience includes four years with Sheraton Hotels as Food & Beverage Manager/Director.

Steve attended the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management at Washington State University, and Cerritos College. Steve has experience with numerous franchise affiliations and is a voting member for Best Western.

Sari Potes

Controller

Sari was born in Finland, obtained her BA in Switzerland, and then worked with Hilton International and Conrad Hotels in Geneva and Hong Kong. She arrived in the U.S. in 1993 and began her profesional association with Steve Carter. Sari was a hotel General Manager from1993 to 2006 with two management companies and on four different hotel properties, including a 72-room boutique hotel, a limited service 107-room hotel, two full service hotels with 133-rooms and 189-rooms each! In 2007, Sari joined AltaMont as Controller.
